# IGDetective > IGDetective (igdetective.com) is a web-based, anonymous Instagram activity tracker founded in 2025 by Steven Duncan. It monitors public Instagram accounts for follows, followers, unfollows, likes, comments and Stories, and lets you watch Stories anonymously, with no Instagram login and no access to anyone’s password. It is not related to the open-source "IG-Detective" OSINT script on GitHub, which is a separate, unaffiliated project. ## Current status - Instagram changed how follow lists work on September 9, 2026. Since September 12, 2026, IGDetective tracks new follows and new followers for public accounts again on the Premium plan, each dated the day it is first seen. We know of no tool that can still show the exact order someone else followed accounts in. Since October 4, 2026, unfollows are tracked again in both directions, each verified before it is shown. Stories, posts, likes and comments were not affected. A free check on the homepage shows what IGDetective can reveal for a given public account.
