Is Picuki Still Working? What Replaced It (2026)
Picuki has served no working page since its last successful archive capture on September 9, 2025; captures now redirect to a TikTok site. Checked August 28, 2026.

Picuki, as people knew it, is gone. At our August 28, 2026 check the original picuki.com answered every request — https and http, homepage and profile paths — with a Cloudflare block page reading "Sorry, you have been blocked" (HTTP 403). The Internet Archive has no successful capture of the site since September 9, 2025, and every capture it recorded from October 27, 2025 through August 23, 2026 is either an HTTP 301 redirect to tikvib.com — a TikTok viewer, not an Instagram one — or the same block page we hit.
The name outlived the domain. picuki.site and picuki.io both load Picuki-branded Instagram viewers today, picuki.app is down with a Cloudflare 521, and an iOS app called "Picuki: Story Viewer & Saver" was updated as recently as August 26, 2026. None of them is the domain that built the brand, and none of them documents a connection to it.
If you searched for Picuki expecting to find the editor and viewer you used to use, this page is for you. What follows is the dated status report: what Picuki was, what each domain serves right now, when the original stopped answering, and what to use instead. Every observation carries its check date and is reproducible from a browser or a terminal.

All four domains sit behind Cloudflare name servers — and behind four different name-server pairs: picuki.com on khalid/nicole, picuki.site on eva/kai, picuki.io on dom/virginia, picuki.app on marek/nadia (Google Public DNS). That is not proof of four different operators, but nothing in the DNS ties any of them together either.
Is Picuki still working?
It depends entirely on which Picuki you mean, which is the whole problem with this brand in 2026.
- picuki.com — no. Not for us on August 28, 2026, and not for the Internet Archive since September 2025. A Cloudflare 403 by itself would only mean our request was refused; what makes it a verdict is the archive record behind it, where the last successful capture is nearly a year old and nothing after it is a working page — only redirects off Instagram and block pages.
- picuki.site — yes, it loads. The homepage rendered a username field (placeholder: "@username or link") with a search button, plus dedicated story, profile and post viewer pages and a trending-profiles section. We recorded that the interface renders and asks for no Instagram login; we did not run a public profile through it, so treat "it loads and offers the tool" as the claim here, not "we verified the results."
- picuki.io — yes, it loads. Seven separate search forms, each aimed at a different content type, with placeholders like "Paste Username or Url Profile" and "Paste Url Stories Highlight". Same caveat: interface observed, results not tested.
- picuki.app — no. HTTP 521 is Cloudflare telling you the origin server behind the domain refused the connection. The Internet Archive has exactly one successful capture of it, on June 12, 2025.
And the App Store listing under the Picuki name is still there, updated on August 26, 2026 — though nothing we can check ties it to whoever ran picuki.com. So "Picuki is down" and "Picuki still works" are both true statements about different addresses — which is exactly the state a dead brand ends up in when its searches outlive it.
What Picuki was
Picuki was the rare tool in this category that did two jobs. It was an Instagram viewer: paste a public username, browse that profile's posts, open its profile picture at full size, and watch its Stories without an Instagram account and without appearing in the poster's story viewer list — the list Instagram's own help pages describe, which is the entire reason anonymous viewers exist. And it was an Instagram editor: filters, crops and simple adjustments applied to images in the browser. Neither half asked for an Instagram login or password, and both were free and ad-supported.
That combination is why the name became one of the most-searched in the category — still tens of thousands of searches a month by third-party estimates, years after the original went quiet. The Internet Archive's first capture of picuki.com is dated December 3, 2019, three days after the November 30, 2019 first release of the iOS app that carries the name, so the brand ran for roughly six years before the archive record goes dark.
What happened to picuki.com
Nobody outside the operation has said. picuki.com never published ownership information, gave no shutdown notice, and left no forwarding message. What the public record shows, capture by capture:
- December 3, 2019 — the Internet Archive's first capture of picuki.com, HTTP 200.
- September 9, 2025 — the last capture that returned a page. Every later capture is a redirect or an error.
- September 15, 2025 — first archive capture of tikvib.com, the TikTok viewer that picuki.com's redirects would soon point at. It was still serving a page at its August 22, 2026 capture.
- October 27, 2025 — the first captured 301 redirect to tikvib.com. We re-checked the recorded redirect target at the October 28, November 1, March 3, April 2 and August 15, 2026 captures: same destination every time.
- May 12 and July 10, 2026 — two captures return the same Cloudflare "you have been blocked" page we got, so the block predates our check by months.
- August 23, 2026 — the most recent capture of picuki.com in the archive: still a 301.
- August 28, 2026 — our check: HTTP 403 from Cloudflare on https and http, homepage and profile paths, with DNS still resolving to Cloudflare addresses.
Read together, that is a domain whose Instagram product stopped serving in autumn 2025 and whose remaining traffic was pointed at a TikTok tool. The registration is alive, the DNS is alive, Cloudflare is alive — the product is not. It is the same ending we documented for InstaNavigation and StoriesDown, with one twist: instead of going dark, this domain's traffic was redirected to a different platform's tool.
Is picuki.site the real Picuki?
As far as can be verified, no — it is a different site wearing a recognizable name, and it does not actually claim otherwise.
- Its own About page dates the operation to 2023. In its words, "We started in 2023." picuki.com had already been running for three years by the start of 2023, having first been archived in December 2019.
- Its archive record starts later too. The Internet Archive's first capture of picuki.site is January 29, 2024; picuki.com's is December 3, 2019.
- There is no continuity notice anywhere on it — no "we have moved", no shared operator, no explanation of the relationship to picuki.com. Its About page describes its own mission and its own thirteen-language footprint.
- The DNS gives no link either — a different Cloudflare name-server pair from picuki.com's, as noted above.
None of that is an accusation. Registering an available domain and building a viewer on it is not wrongdoing, and picuki.site's About page is unusually explicit about what it will not do (it states that private accounts stay private and that it never asks for Instagram credentials). The practical point is the one that applies to every inherited name in this category: whatever trust the original earned does not transfer. Judge picuki.site, picuki.io and the iOS app on what each observably is today, not on a name they share with a domain that stopped answering in 2025.
Worth knowing if you are tracing the lineage: the Picuki name also turns up on mollygram.com, which says it is "better known" by a string of older viewer brands including MyStalk, Picuki and Imginn — we cover what that site actually does, including one claim of its own that fails our test, in our Mollygram review. Several live sites invoking one dead brand is the category working exactly as it always does.
Is Picuki anonymous and safe?
For picuki.com the question is retired along with the site. For the live sites carrying the name, the honest answer has two halves.
The anonymity half holds, structurally. A viewer that never signs in to Instagram cannot appear in anyone's story viewer list, because there is no account of yours making the request — that is where the anonymity in this whole category comes from, and it is why a tool asking for your Instagram password is an automatic fail rather than a stronger version of the same idea. Neither picuki.site nor picuki.io presented any Instagram login prompt in the pages we fetched.
"Completely" is where it stops. You are anonymous to the person you look up, not to the site you use. Any free viewer can log your IP address and every username you search, and it is funded by ads, which means third-party ad and analytics tags in the page. These tools also operate outside Instagram's platform terms, which is part of why sites in this lane disappear the way this one did.
Three rules survive whichever domain you land on, and they are the same ones our anonymous Instagram viewers review applies to the whole field: never enter your Instagram password into a third-party viewer; treat any promise of private-account content as a signal about the operator rather than a real capability, for the reasons set out in our private Instagram viewer guide; and assume nothing you view through a free tool persists — Stories expire in 24 hours and one-shot viewers keep nothing.
What replaced Picuki
Nothing replaced Picuki whole, because Picuki did two different jobs and they went to different places.
The editing half — filters, crops, quick adjustments in the browser — is covered by picuki.site, which kept the editor in its title and in its how-to sections, and by any general-purpose photo editor. There is no scarcity there.
The viewing half is where the field is crowded and genuinely competitive. picuki.site and picuki.io both offered it free with no Instagram login at our August 28, 2026 check. The structural difference is what happens after you close the tab. Anonymous to the person you look up, yes — a viewer that never signs in to Instagram cannot appear in anyone’s story viewer list, because no account of yours makes the request. "Completely" is the wrong word, though: the viewer site itself can log your IP address and every username you search, it is ad-funded so third-party ad and analytics tags load with the page, and it operates outside Instagram’s platform terms. Anonymity in this category means invisible to the account holder, not invisible to the tool.
What replaced Picuki?

Picuki was a free, web-based Instagram editor and viewer, first archived in December 2019. People used it to browse public profiles, open profile pictures at full size, and watch public Stories without an Instagram account and without appearing in the story viewer list, plus a built-in editor for applying filters and crops to images in the browser. It asked for no Instagram login and was funded by ads. The original site at picuki.com has served no page since September 2025.
Is Picuki free?
Every version of it we could check is free. The original picuki.com was free and ad-supported; picuki.site and picuki.io both offer their tools free with no account required at our August 28, 2026 check; and the iOS app listed under the Picuki name (id1486077827) shows a price of $0.00 in Apple lookup data. In this category free means ad-funded, so expect display ads and third-party tracking tags as the actual cost.
Does Picuki show private accounts?
No — and neither does anything else. Content on a private Instagram account is only served to approved followers, so it is not reachable by any anonymous third-party tool, whatever the marketing copy says. picuki.site’s own About page states the same thing: private accounts stay private. Treat a promise of private content as a signal about the operator rather than a capability, and note that IGDetective works with public accounts only for exactly the same reason.
